We, the undersigned residents and commuters of Port Washington, hereby petition the Town of North Hempstead authorities to consider implementing overnight parking at our train station. We believe that this initiative will greatly benefit our community in the following ways:

Convenience for Commuters: Many residents rely on the train for daily commuting. Allowing overnight parking would eliminate the stress and inconvenience of finding alternative parking arrangements, especially for those who work late or early hours.  

Revenue Generation: Implementing a fee-based system for overnight parking could generate additional revenue for the town, which could be reinvested into improving public transportation infrastructure or other community initiatives.

Alignment with Neighboring Towns: Several neighboring towns already offer overnight parking at their train stations, either for a fee or at no cost. It is time for Port Washington to align with these neighboring communities and provide similar amenities for residents and visitors.

We respectfully urge the Town of North Hempstead authorities to consider our request and take necessary steps to implement overnight parking at the train station. By doing so, we can enhance the commuting experience for residents and contribute to the overall betterment of our community.
