At school, we have a cafeteria that serves lunch to students who didn't bring a lunch. A few people from school and I thought we could better this already good thing and made this petition because we think that it would save money and be good for the environment, and help solve our food waste, even if it doesn't help that much. My friends and I made this petiton not just to better our school, but to help fix food waste. The people who would be affected by this change include everyone who goes to JT Williams Secondary School. If this petition goes through and the school board for JTW accepts this idea, it could be great for JTW and areas around the school for preventing food waste and even inspire other schools in Charlotte, North Carolina, to follow suit. I learned about this subject during a group assignment for school, and for a project, me, and a few other kids decided to make this petition and try to better our school and help do our part in stopping food waste, one ugly orange at a time.
