The Issue

I am a native american woman born into the navajo tribe, I have lived in New Mexico and Arizona all my life. Recently I have been to several beautiful places, from the reservations to the grass lands of Colorado and to the largest canyons like the grand canyon. My ancestral land is sacred not just to myself, but to my family and my people and other Tribes. But due to the recklessness and selfish people of the government wanting to mine and destroy all these monuments, lands and pollute our waters upsets me, my family, mabye even your family. The memory's we have made in these parks are going to be gone, cause of what? They need more money? More profit? Mabye even more control of my people?

Here's some reference pictures that had happened in the past 3 weeks.

A sign that used to welcome visitors to Smoky Mountain Road in Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument was removed. (Ray Bloxham / SUWA)

This is the staircase that they want to destroy for there profits.

"President Trump’s order to slash protections for Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante is both a betrayal to the American people and illegal. No president has the authority to erase or shrink a national monument with the stroke of a pen, and we will continue to fight this at every step."—Tiernan Sittenfeld, NPCA's President and CEO

Bears Ears National Monument Bob Wick/Bureau of Land Management

These are not the only Monuments that are in plan to be destroyed, this is just the beginning of those plans.
