Some of the reasons we oppose the bridge in the proposed location (between Park Plaza and Hermitage Drive at North Acres Park) include:,
• The Bridge will likely bring significantly more crime from the high-crime area north of the creek to our low-crime neighborhood south of the creek.
• North Acres Park, our only park, is too small to accommodate the relatively large bridge. Neighborhood gatherings at the park would no longer be possible as in the past

Consistent with previous agreements with the City, our Neighborhood Plan and the Austin Police Department, we petition you to stop construction plans and to make the requested changes.
