Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in the city of Colton, CA is a Catholic Cemetery. Their mission is “Catholic Cemeteries’ mission in the Diocese of San Bernardino is to be advocates for families at the most difficult time of their life. We will strive to promote Catholic burials and funeral traditions for all who seek the Holiness of consecrated ground. We will carry out this mission in a manner that reflects the dignity of the human spirit as taught by our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We honor our loved ones in many ways. One of the biggest ways is being that we carry on our Catholic traditions through certain things, such as the way we decorate where our loved one has been placed. We have received derogatory comments from the staff about it not being a “circus” as if our loved ones were some kind of animals. Our decorations have been removed from our loved ones and placed in trash bags several times. No where in the contract does it state this is not allowed. We have complied with everything else and they have taken this overboard. The staff is not being considerate nor respectful of our religious beliefs and we demand this to immediately end. We want our loved ones, our families and our religion to be respected and our traditions to continue. We will take this as far as needed to assure that it does not continue.
