Every day students from Faraday Elementary and Marshall High School need to cross West Madison Street at Spaulding Avenue to get to and from school. W. Madison is a very busy street and crossing guards are not always available. Our kids need a stop sign to cross this busy street safely. 

 Two years ago, a parent from Faraday Elementary was hit by a car at this very same intersection and is still battling injuries today. This parent has 9 children that need to cross this street every day. She has been advocating for a stop sign for the safety of her children and every student crossing this street. 

Students and Parents from Faraday Elementary call on the City of Chicago and Alderman Jason Ervin to install a stop sign at W. Madison St. and Spaulding Avenue for the safety of the community. Please sign our petition and help our students see the power of collective action!
