Our Dogs Need More Freedom!

Petition for Approval of Private Dog Exercise Areas in Henley Brook.

Join James Fruze in advocating for the rights of dogs in our community. Despite overwhelming demand, the City of Swan council has denied approval for private dog exercise areas, citing that it does not fit the 'theme' of the area. However, dogs are an integral part of our lives and it's time to change the legislation to ensure that they can enjoy the freedom they deserve in safe, private enclosed outdoor areas. Let's stand together and demand that our council prioritizes the well-being of our furry friends and approves private dog exercise areas in our community."

The City Of Swan (Department of lands and heritage) denied James’ application for:

Leisure Space

As dog owners, we are deeply concerned about the lack of safe and enjoyable spaces for our furry friends to exercise and socialize. Many of us have had to resort to walking our dogs on busy roads or in public parks, which can be dangerous and stressful for both dogs and owners. We believe that our dogs deserve better and that private dog exercise areas are the solution.

Without private dog exercise areas, our dogs will continue to suffer from a lack of exercise and socialisation, which can lead to health and behavioural issues. They may also be at risk of being hit by cars or attacked by other dogs in public spaces. As a community, we will continue to struggle with noise complaints and dog-related incidents in our parks and on our streets. By creating private dog exercise areas, we can ensure the safety and well-being of our dogs and our community.

Now is the time to act because our dogs cannot wait any longer. The demand for private dog exercise areas is higher than ever, and we have already exhausted all other options for creating safe and enjoyable spaces for our furry friends. We have researched and planned for these areas to address all concerns raised by the council and community, and we are ready to move forward with this solution. We urge the council to listen to our voices and take immediate action to approve private dog exercise areas in Henley Brook.
