Our Community, Our Choice: Keep SnoBros
Our Community, Our Choice: Keep SnoBros
The Issue
For years, SnoBros, our beloved raspa truck, has been a staple in the Tres Lagos Park. On top of serving delicious treats, it has brought families together, offered affordable joy to children and adults alike, and carried forward a piece of cultural tradition that makes our community feel united and whole.
Now, due to a property manager’s decision and an exclusivity contract, SnoBros is being forced to vacate the park on October 12th to make way for a yogurt shop in the plaza. This is not simply a business decision, it’s the removal of a cultural cornerstone, a gathering place, and a small business that has faithfully served our neighborhood for many years.
Removing SnoBros ignores the voices of loyal families and neighbors who have made it part of their lives, and with its loss, Tres Lagos loses a point of pride that sets our community apart from the rest. This change puts money before people and threatens to strip away the culture, unity, and love that define our community.
We, the undersigned, stand firmly against this decision. We demand that SnoBros be allowed to continue operating in the park and remain part of the essence of our neighborhood. Replacing a raspa stand with a yogurt shop may serve a contract, but it will destroy a tradition.
Let us protect our culture, our community, and our choice. Sign below to keep SnoBros where it belongs: in our park, with our families, and in our future.
Why This Matters to Me:
SnoBros is more than a late night stop in my family. My younger brother, who has autism and is very particular about what he eats, has grown a sense of confidence and comfort here. Every visit, he excitedly walks up and orders his own marranada. This small act of independence has been a huge milestone for him, and SnoBros has given him the safe, welcoming place to foster that confidence. Losing SnoBros would mean losing that space for him, and for many others in our community who have built special connections around this truck.
