Raise a banner for Drew Kasper in the Rike Center
Why this petition matters

Drew Kasper spent his entire senior wrestling season ranked #1 in NCAA Division III at heavyweight. The Lexington native and Otterbein senior captain finished his final season with a record of 30-0 after winning the regional championship in Adrian, MI. Kasper and his freshman teammate Ryan Whitten made the trip to Cedar Falls, IA only to find out the NCAA tournament would be cancelled due to COVID-19. This would’ve been Drew’s third time competing at the NCAA nationals. He took 5th place as a junior, and knocked off a returning national champion and the all time NCAA wins record holder in Waynesburg senior Jake Evans in the quarterfinals. Drew trained hard all offseason, and came back ranked number 1 for his senior season. After putting together an impressive regular season, he, his coaches, his teammates, and others were confident that he was the best heavyweight in division III. The NCAA announced March 31 that they would not allow winter athletes another year of eligibility. Drew was the school’s first NCAA qualifier and All-American. Help Drew’s legacy live forever at Otterbein by signing this petition to have a banner raised in the Rike to help commemorate him.
