The Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) wants to promote tolerance and acceptance of all people, along with informing students about bullying. Last year, GSA was named an official club; however, in January 2015, all that was taken away from GSA as they were trying to promote No Name-Calling Week within their school. Administration told GSA that "GSA is not an official club, so you cannot do activities such as this." The GSA wants to provide a safe space for everyone. With this petition, we hope to show the administration that we have community support for the club.
