The OHS varsity football team was cut due to “not having enough players”, when a neighboring town has 5 less players but can still keep their team alive due to the fact that they win more than they lose and bring in good money for the school. The OHS Varsity Football team might not always win the game but it wins the hearts of all the classmates in the district. Most of the best memories I and others at OHS have are typically at our home football game. While cutting this team, the Athletic Director didn’t just cut a team, they cut a family, they robbed students of their senior night, college scoutings, joy of playing, and everything under the sun. This was more than just a game, it was a home for everyone.. and when the Bucs played it didn’t matter who you were, everyone came out together to support as one!
