Get Oswego East To Switch Back To Reusable Lunch Trays

Get Oswego East To Switch Back To Reusable Lunch Trays
The Issue
Oswego East switched from reusable, plastic lunch trays to new styrofoam lunch trays at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. These new lunch trays are not biodegradable, and they are only single use. Due to the switch in lunch trays, Oswego East now produces way more waste then they did in 2018-2019. These styrofoam trays take an estimated 1 million years to decompose, and now Oswego East High School constantly dumps them into the environment on a daily basis. In a world that is in such a desperate need for a solution to the pollution and climate crisis, Oswego East is taking a big step backwards and showing that they care about efficiency, not the environment. Please sign this petition and share it with Oswego East to convince them to make the switch back to reusable trays for a better world!
