In light of recent events where statues are being removed due to their subjects' hateful pasts, we call upon the Organization of American States to remove the statue of Queen Isabelle I from its headquarters in Washington, DC. Queen Isabella signed the Alhambra Decree ordering the expulsion of Jews from the Spanish empire. She then established the Spanish Inquisition, which was not formally desolved until the mid-1800's. She is responsible for the deaths of many Jews and the labeling of them as heretics. 

Her statue is an insult to the many Jews in the United States and others who have lost their lives and fortunes while escaping her terror.

Please remove her statue and replace it with a more peaceful representation of someone we can all respect.
