It is the only place in East Orange County where people can show their kids a little of what Florida used to look like along The Econ River. A place to get away from the heat, noise, and pollution caused by development and roads. A place to walk, jog, and ride a bike without cars. The Richard Crotty Parkway was quietly approved as citizens spoke out against it. The Richard Crotty Parkway will destroy the park’s views and quiet. It will destroy wetlands. The wildlife will be displaced and killed by cars. Jay Blanchard said, “Never cut a tree for construction of a road or building. Don't sacrifice the trees.
