Hello. This is a petition for OCC international students to communicate our desire to make the health insurance coverage OPTIONAL considering the cost-benefit balance between financial burden and service we get from it. We understand the intent to protect us in medical emergencies, but most of us have lived without medical insurance for our entire lives and would like to assume the risk of not having insurance as a personal choice. This would greatly help against the already high financial costs of being an international student. Thank you!
