Concerned Citizens of Apple Valley: Protect Our Neighborhood from the Waalew Truck and Trailer Facility
Living in the heart of Apple Valley, we take pride in the peace, safety, and sense of community that define our town. The proposed Waalew Truck and Trailer Facility, however, threatens to destroy that way of life. This industrial project—planned alarmingly close to our homes—would bring constant noise, pollution, and heavy truck traffic into a quiet residential area not designed to handle it.

Traffic and Safety Concerns
The facility would bring a surge of large commercial trucks to Waalew Road and surrounding streets already used daily by families, commuters, and school buses. Increased congestion and truck movements would heighten the risk of serious accidents and make neighborhood roads unsafe for children, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Noise and Air Pollution
With heavy trucks operating day and night, residents would face constant noise from diesel engines, air brakes, and idling vehicles. Exhaust emissions from these trucks would degrade our air quality—putting the health of our community, especially children and seniors, at risk. Apple Valley’s clear desert air would be replaced with the hum and haze of industry.

Environmental and Community Impact
The proposed 14.6-acre facility threatens to disrupt local wildlife, alter natural drainage, and increase light and stormwater pollution. It would permanently change the rural, small-town character of Apple Valley—reducing property values and eroding the community’s appeal that so many families have worked hard to preserve.

Demand an Environmental Impact Report
Before any approval moves forward, the Town of Apple Valley must require a full Environmental Impact Report (EIR). This study is essential to assess the true scope of harm to residents, traffic safety, and our environment. Approving such a large industrial project without it would be irresponsible and unfair to taxpayers and nearby homeowners.

Join Us in Taking a Stand
