It has been proposed by the Board of Education to reconfigure the River Edge School District. The new configuration would consist of kindergarten through third grade placement at Cherry Hill School and fourth through sixth grade placement at Roosevelt School. 

This division from our decades-long k-6 configuration would impact our public budget as well as families’ immediate financial planning, our administration, the overall dynamic of our schools for students, teachers, and parents alike, the social-emotional health of students, the consistency of the River Edge education experience for families that would have children in 2, 3, or even 4 different schools simultaneously, and the growth pattern for students who will be required to transition to a more mature school setting by the time they reach the young age of 9 years old.
