Opposition to Central Electric Power Transmission Line Routes JJ, AA, Z, KK, and II
The Issue
I am 100% OPPOSED to Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc’s (CEPCI) proposed routes JJ, AA, Z, KK, and II through Aiken, SC as referenced on their Windsor-New Ellenton Study Map dated 07/17/2023, for the construction of 115kV Transmission Power Lines and Towers ANYWHERE NEAR or THROUGH the communities of BRIDLE CREEK, CEDAR CREEK, CEDAR MEADOWS EQUESTRIAN, THE PADDOCKS, THREE RUNS PLANTATION and surrounding areas.
We chose Aiken, South Carolina because it was a great, healthy place to raise our animals and live in a scenic, peaceful rural area. The CEPCI project is not conducive to the equestrian paradise the City of Aiken portrays on its tourism website. These 115kV Transmission Line Towers are an UNSIGHTLY EYESORE, are NOISY, and do not belong in an area comprised of BEAUTIFUL EQUESTRIAN PROPERTIES AND HOMES.
