Opposition to Conditional Use Permit for 804 Evergreen Road, Anchorage, KY

Case:               20-CUPPA-0219  Owner: Anchorage Place, LLC   Project: Bed and Breakfast

To:                   Louisville-Jefferson Country Metro Government

Mayor Greg Fischer, 527 W. Jefferson Street, 4th Floor, Louisville, KY 40202

To:                   City of Anchorage

Mayor Neil Ramsey, P.O. Box 23266, Anchorage, KY  40223

Cc:                   Steve Hendrix, Planning and Design Services

Metro Development Center, 444 South 5th Street, 3rd Floor

                        Louisville, KY  40202  Steve.hendrix@louisvilleky.gov

We the undersigned oppose the Conditional Use Permit for the allowance of a commercial bed and breakfast at 804 Evergreen Road in the R-1/RE zoning district.

We oppose the granting of the conditional use permit to Anchorage Place, LLC, which lists Matthew G. Bevin as the only Current Officer.

Anchorage Place, LLC is a company with an owner who does not live on the property.

We do not want the risk of this company being sold further to a hotel chain or other for profit corporation, where the owners do not live on the property.

A conditional use permit would allow this company to hold events with up to 125 guests 12 times per year.

Our wish is for Anchorage to remain a residential area, not a neighborhood with properties owned by non resident corporations.

The many neighbors with young children do not want a commercial “hotel” next to their homes with up to 18 unknown transient guests every night and up to 125 unknown transient visitors for 12 events per year.

Respectfully submitted,
