السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ 

This petition is regarding the current committee of Darul Amaan Masjid and why we should oppose them in the actions they have done. It is our religious responsibility to speak against them because Allah told us many times in the Quran: 

وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱنْهَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ 

“Enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil”. 

The committee have not shown us records of their income and expenditure regarding the construction of the new masjid, and this lack of transparency has caused people to lose trust within this committee. Therefore, we should forbid this evil and enjoin what is good by changing this committee. 

وَلَا تَلْبِسُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ بِٱلْبَـٰطِلِ وَتَكْتُمُوا۟ ٱلْحَقَّ وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ٤٢

”Do not mix truth with falsehood or hide the truth knowingly”~ 2:42.

Allah has instructed us to not hide the truth knowingly, therefore meaning we must let the community know about what this committee is doing because it causes loss to the masjid, and is also unjust to the community as people don’t know where their donations are really going. 

 

عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْت رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه و سلم يَقُولُ: "مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ مُنْكَرًا فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ، وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الْإِيمَانِ" . [رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ]. 

Abu saeed al khudri r.a heard the messenger of Allah ﷺ say:

“Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.” [narrated by muslim]

This hadith clearly shows to us dear brothers and sisters that we must take action against evil, or Allah will hold us accountable on the day of judgement. We ask you to help us against the injustice and loss the current committee are causing. By signing this petition it will help us to change the current committee and allow us to amend the trust which was lost within the community. We have all wished to see the new masjid be built, however with this current committee the chances are very slim. We ask Allah to help us remove the evil within our community and ummah, and to help the ummah enjoin what is good. May Allah reward you for your help. 

 

Above are the reasons to why we oppose the current committee of Darul Amaan Masjid. Help us to remove these individuals from the committee, to prevent the wrong which they do, and build Darul Amaan Masjid. جزاكم الله خيرا.
