Oppose Zoning Amendments for 539 and 543 Topping Lane

The Issue

The proposed changes to the zoning for 539 and 543 Topping Lane will spoil the streetscape and increase intensification. These amendments go against the allowed zoning by increasing the number of storeys, overall height, and maximum lot coverage. The current density is 6 units per hectare (uph) and this proposal would see it increase to 190 uph, which is more than double the allowable R8-4 zoning of 75 uph. Such drastic changes will negatively impact our community's character and quality of life. We must preserve our neighborhood's integrity and ensure sustainable development that respects existing regulations (The London Plan).
