Hi, 

I have been a loyal instagram user for over a decade now and on April 4th, 2023 my instagram account was disabled without warning and reason. Instagram has disabled or made any form of contact to appeal difficult. Therefore, all of my information that was stored on the site is gone. All of my photos and messages from deceased loved ones are gone.

It is of my knowledge that in most corporate and school settings a warning is issued. Then a written write up/disciplinary is signed acknowledging the violation. Finally, a suspension/ban is issued to violating party. After, the violating party has a right to appeal and plead their case. Instagram does not follow this protocol. 

After scrolling through countless websites, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and Tik Tok, I have noticed that other users have been afflicted in the same way. I decided to create a petition as a call to action. Instagram’s ban/disable policy is unfair and maliciously makes it difficult for its users to contact them. The Help Center is no help at all and only serves as an endless loop. 

If you or someone you know has been effected by Instagram’s ban policy or Instagram randomly disabling your account please sign this petition. It is my hope that I can get enough signatures to start a class action suit for emotional distress and mismanagement of intellectual properties.
