Last summer, many of us stood together during the Homekey+ protests out of concern for our neighbors, friends, and family. Throughout that fight, former Torrance Councilmember Mike Mauno was with us on the front lines: writing, petitioning, and protesting the county’s decision.
Now, as city elections approach in June, we have an opportunity to send Mike to city hall and bring real accountability, real public safety, and real local control back to Torrance City Council District 3. The City of Torrance needs somebody like Mike Mauno to ensure a project like Homekey+ is never approved in our neighborhood again. We need a representative who will stand up for residents rather than embrace the County’s failed policies with open arms. IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE in District 3.
At 6:00PM on Monday, February 23, Mike is hosting his first campaign rally at Brew’s Hall (21770 Del Amo Cir E Torrance, CA 90503) and we would love to see all of you again at this event. Tickets are $75, with every cent going back into protecting the safety of our community. The RSVP and donation link will be listed below. A donation of any size is appreciated.
For those who are unavailable on Monday night but would still like to get involved, Mike’s campaign is looking for doorknockers and canvassers to spread the word. Mike also has yard signs and other literature for all residents and business owners who are interested in supporting his campaign. Pickups and deliveries can be arranged through: Mauno4Torrance@att.net.
Last summer, it was everyday Torrance residents which fought against L.A. County and won. Now, we ask for your support to FINISH THE JOB!
