Growing up in the tranquil countryside of Sumner County has taught me to cherish our pristine environment and closely-knit community. However, the proposed Webb Road Battery Storage Facility threatens the very essence of the place I proudly call home. Along with fellow residents, landowners, and concerned citizens, I find the project riddled with undeniable risks to our community, farmland, and cherished environment.

Our environmental concerns are profound and multifaceted. The potential contamination of groundwater and soil from the chemicals used in these batteries is alarming. If a fire were to occur, firewater runoff could seep into our lands, leaving lasting damage to local ecosystems, agriculture, and possibly endangering local water supplies. However, despite these significant risks, the project lacks a clear plan for containment and monitoring.

The absence of adequate containment measures presents a threat not only to the environment but also to our health and safety.
