On 28 March 2023, patients of The Village Surgery were sent a text informing of changes to the surgery. 

An Acute Hub will be based at the surgery from 3 April and from this date no GP appointments will be offered. Any patient who needs a GP appointment will be asked to attend another surgery in the GPS group.

Cheswick Green has a higher than national/local average number of elderly residents, many who cannot drive. The village is poorly served by public transport.

 With the area being heavily developed with housing in recent years, the expectation is for more not less health provision for residents.
