I am a resident of Terre Haute, and like many others here, I use Duke Energy. We as a community, are concerned over the proposed rate hike from Duke Energy. Many residents here struggle to afford these services at the current rates - raising them further means adding an additional weight to already strained households. Duke Energy is seeking to increase their revenue by $396 MILLION by raising the rates of their customers in a two step process. These changes, if approved, are expected to take place in late February so it is important that we make our voices heard now. It is time to make sure that the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission knows we do not support this increase and we as a community and a state need to make our voices heard.
