Oppose the extension of Jenny Lind in Fort Smith, AR

The Issue

I've lived in Fianna Hills for many years, and the serenity of our neighborhood has always been one of its defining features. It's a place where children play freely in the streets, dog walkers converse leisurely as they stroll beside their furry friends, and residents contribute to a calm, close-knit community that mirrors small-town charm in the midst of Fort Smith, AR.

Unfortunately, there's a proposal that threatens to disrupt the tranquility we have cherished for so long—the extension of Jenny Lind Road.

The proposed extension of Jenny Lind Road poses several significant concerns for the residents of Fianna Hills. With increased traffic, the safety of our children, pet walkers, and pedestrians is at risk. The noise and pollution that accompany such development will alter the atmosphere that makes our community unique. Moreover, this project could depreciate property values and undermine the investment many families have made in choosing Fianna Hills as their home.

Statistics from similar developments in neighborhoods across the country show a rise in accidents and reduced living quality as a result of increased traffic. In our peaceful enclave, this is not a risk we can afford. Further development will destroy the very nature of Fianna Hills that makes it a desirable place to live.

We urge city planners and local authorities to consider alternative solutions that accommodate growth while preserving our community's character. Initiatives that enhance public transport, or improve existing road infrastructure without extending through residential areas, could be explored.

Please sign this petition to voice your opposition to the extension of Jenny Lind Road. With your support, we can protect our community's charm, safety, and future.

Let's stand together to preserve the lifestyle that Fianna Hills residents have come to love.
