Congress had announced a potential ban on anime. If this ban were to succeed future generations would not be able to enjoy and experience great anime like "Dragonball Z", "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid", "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure" and many more. People who use anime as an escape from the hardship of daily life would have nothing to look forward to and result in the suicide rate rising. Voice actors would lose their jobs. Anime has the hopes and dreams of everyone that loves Japanese culture and Congress is trampling on those hopes and dreams of everyone.
