Growing up as a lifelong fan of the Halloween franchise, the news of Australia & New Zealand banning the Halloween video game is both heartbreaking and frustrating. After all, the game itself is aimed at fans like me, who are well and truly over 18, and therefore aren't prone to the suggestion that recreational drug use in a video game will make us all stoners!

Censorship of this nature reflects poorly on the freedom of speech and personal agency we hold dear in Australia & New Zealand, and it could set a concerning precedent for the future.
