Chaminade Prep High School has announced changes to its dress code policy, including a ban on skirts starting in 2025. This drastic shift is troubling for many students who believe that it infringes on their rights to self-expression and comfortable learning environments. It adds to less options for girls to wear at school especially with the closing of Dennis Uniform we cannot buy new pants with chaminade logos. The proposal of this ban fails to acknowledge these potential detriments and has not provided any substantial reasoning to support such an action. We firmly request the reconsideration of this proposed ban, encouraging Chaminade College Prep to focus on cultivating an environment of inclusivity, respect, and individuality.
