Oppose the 64-Unit Palm Grove Apartments at 6634 Carolina Beach Road
The Issue
We the residents of NHC support the The Lords Creek, Woodlake, and Ocean Forest Lakes communities in uniting opposition to the proposed rezoning of the 4.65 acres located at 6634 Carolina Beach Road (Z24-08) to 64 unit Palm Grove apartments . Despite being rejected by the board of commissioners a year ago, this project has not seen significant changes. Our concerns include the height and density of the units, which will overcrowd our schools, increase traffic on our roads, and turn our deceleration lane into an acceleration hazard. There are 4 apartment complexes already in the works south of Monkey Junction and several more coming to the agenda soon for rezoning. Our area funnels onto Carolina beach and adding too many of these apartment mix use complexes and townhome developments is going to over crowd our area and take the joy of living here . We urge you to join us in protecting our community and help us keep the zoning as R-15 by signing this petition.
