Oppose Rezoning Residential Property for Commercial Development

The Issue

Dear Neighbors,

We need your urgent support to protect our community from an unwanted zoning change that threatens the character and value of our neighborhood. A proposal is underway to rezone a property at the Autumn Trail entry from Residential to Commercial. This change could set a precedent for further commercial development into other neighborhoods, increasing traffic, noise, water runoff and potential safety risks while diminishing the residential appeal of our community. There is plenty of existing, suitable land for commercial development without needing to destroy homes.

By signing this petition, you stand with your neighbors in opposing this zoning change and urge our county commissioners to vote against this proposal at the March 18th County Commission Rezoning meeting at 6:00 PM, held at 630 Ronald Reagan Drive, Building A. Additionally, we encourage you to attend the meeting in person to show our collective opposition.

The entrance to any community sets the tone for its character and value—don’t let this zoning change negatively impact your quality of life and property value. Let’s protect our neighborhood together!  If we don’t, who knows what neighborhood may be next.
