My personal journey has led me to acknowledge the importance of human rights, the fundamental principles of liberty & justice for all. As an individual directly impacted by these issues, it is difficult to remain silent while the proposed Project 2025 threatens to harm our society so severely.

Project 2025 seemingly jeopardizes LGBTQ+ rights, propagates discrimination based on political affiliation and contests state-funded medical care including gender affirming care and the right to an abortion. It is imperative to highlight how important these rights are to our society’s overall wellbeing.

According to a survey by the Trevor Project, 40% of LGBTQ+ youth seriously considered suicide in the past year. The report further identifies that one in three LGBTQ+ youths found it important to receive gender-affirming hormone therapies. Revoking or restricting the rights and support for these groups exponentially increases the serious risk to their physical and mental health. (Source: The Trevor Project, 2020)

Moreover, the World Health Organization categorically states that access to safe and legal abortions is fundamentally connected to a woman's human rights, including the right to life, health, bodily autonomy, and the rights to enjoy the benefits of scientific progress. It's evident that Project 2025 is not in the best interest of our society. We must stand united against such policies that undermine civil liberties.
