I live in the Grand Forks community and I support keeping daylight savings time during the summer months. It is very important that we have the late sunset in the summertime to better enjoy the already short summer season in North Dakota. The Red River R/C Flyers is a club based in the Grand Forks Community that allows hobbyists to enjot the flying of model aircraft. This activity relies on daylight in the evening hours. Eliminating daylight savings time would dramatically shorten our flying season for our members that like to fly their aircraft after work on weekdays in the summer. In addition to flying our own models, our club also teaches children to fly remote controlled aircraft, encouraging them to learn about aviation and inspiring them to seek careers in the fast growing UAS field that is currently booming in Grand Forks with our college, airbase and industry. Please vote against eliminating DST for our region. Our summers are already short enough due to climate without losing another hour every night of time to enjoy our passion.
