Oppose New Jersey's Unfair Housing Quotas Bill! Stop A4/S50

The Issue

The New Jersey State Legislature Bill A4/S50, imposing unrealistic and heavy housing quotas on municipalities statewide, raises significant concerns. By aggressively increasing quotas, this bill endangers the core of our communities, worsens traffic congestion, and stretches vital municipal services, including law enforcement, to their limits. It also threatens environmentally sensitive areas.

In 2015, the enforcement of affordable housing obligations was removed from COAH and returned to the courts. Since then, municipalities have been required to go directly to court to approve their housing plans, a process known as "Mount Laurel litigation."

In Middletown, we're already seeing our infrastructure under severe strain, jeopardizing the well-being of our residents. This bill's additional demands could exacerbate the situation, pushing local resources beyond their breaking point.

We urge you to stand with us against this disproportionate legislation by signing our petition today!

Call all 40 Senators and tell them to vote "No."
