Oppose H.3309 that Undermines DEI Rights

The Issue

We take a stand to oppose H.3309, a bill that threatens our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) rights, a ground that is profoundly personal to us. The DEI bills supported by our community provide veterans, disabled individuals, and minorities with equal opportunities in employment, serving as a firm safeguard against discrimination. The erosion of these rights, facilitated by H.3309, could undermine decades of progress. It's a known fact, backed by American Job Centers, that DEI initiatives help decrease underemployment rates among veterans, disabled persons, and minorities (U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Disability Employment Policy). H.3309 puts these accomplishments at risk, creating an environment where discrimination could easily thrive.\n\nWe must remember that diversity strengthens our community and boosts productivity; it promotes an array of perspectives and fosters innovation. The underrepresented groups protected by the DEI bills contribute significantly to our society's fabric and should continue to receive equitable access to employment opportunities. We ask for concerned citizens, equity advocates, and allies to join hands against H.3309. We must challenge this action that threatens to rob us of the vital protections ensured by our DEI rights. Stand with us and sign the petition. Let's remember and reinforce the age-old quote: "United we stand, divided we fall." The fight for fairness, equality, and inclusivity must go on.
