The rumors you have heard are true! In the next couple weeks, the Leavenworth Board of County Commissioners will consider a proposal to receive money from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service to pay Core Civic to house illegal immigrants at the Leavenworth Detention Facility behind Zeck Ford. Because of an executive order by Democrat President Joe Biden, the federal government can no longer pay private companies to guard prisoners. So the Feds have cooked up this scheme to get around this ill-conceived rule.

If you think this is a bad idea, if you don't want Immigration bringing their self-induced border crisis to our doorstep, it's not too late to make your voice heard! Contact the Leavenworth Board of County Commissioners today and tell them you want them to reject this proposal!
