I just want to take a moment to say, “thank you” to each and every one of you for your support. In a little over two months, we have currently 853 supporters. Not only have you signed the petition, (which sends a message to the Brea City Council, Brea Olinda Unified School District, and the Brea Planning Commission), but many of you have also courageously taken further actions to help keep our kids and community safe.
Before the City Council votes on Tuesday, Feb 16th, various members of the Brea community (also informally known as Secure Gaslight Neighborhood) will be holding a demonstration this Saturday, February 13th between 12pm and 2pm.
I want to invite each of you to join us! We will be walking around the area with signs, masks, and will be socially distancing. Families, especially with kids, are welcome. In order to ensure that we prevent overcrowding, we ask you to reserve a 30 minute slot, but feel free to sign up for more than one: https://bit.ly/3cPiv7m
This is another opportunity to show that we care about our community, we care about our kids, and we care about their safety.
Also, if you want to do more to help out, join our volunteer squad on Slack: http://bit.ly/3qcbnpo
Thank you for helping keep our community safe. See you on Saturday!
Sincerely,
Rod
