The Issue

For the past 32 years, I've been a loyal Cleveland Browns season ticket holder, a commitment I made sacrificially out of pure love for the game and the team. I stood by them when the team returned in 1999, acquiring a Personal Seat License (PSL) because it was a testament to my unwavering support. Now, they are asking me to do it all over again. The proposal to introduce a new PSL and drastically increase ticket prices for the new stadium is not just unfair; it feels like a betrayal to the loyal fans who have stood by the Browns through thick and thin.

The Cleveland Browns Women's FB group, which I am a part of, echoes this sentiment. We believe this price gouging unfairly targets fans, many of whom will be forced to give up their season tickets because of these exorbitant new costs. Loyalty should never come with a price tag, especially one that burdens the fans who have been there every step of the way, cheering from the stands, regardless of the team's performance.

Across the NFL, fans are an integral part of the team's identity. For instance, the Green Bay Packers have had a waiting list for season tickets for decades, yet they manage to keep their fans content with reasonable pricing strategies. The Browns could take a leaf out of their playbook, and instead of punishing loyalty, foster it.

The current proposal risks not just alienating fans but also creating empty seats at a time when the team could thrive on its supporters' energy. It's essential that the Browns' ownership appreciate the depth of feeling on this issue and reconsider their proposed changes to the ticket and PSL pricing structure.

We urge you to stand with us and voice your opposition to these changes. Sign this petition to demand that the Browns ownership listen to their loyal fans and reconsider the proposed ticket price hikes and PSL restructuring. Together, we can ensure that being a Browns fan remains an affordable and joyous experience for everyone.
