Oppose a Life Peerage for ex minister Chris Grayling

The Issue

Chris Grayling was Secretary of State the Dept of Transport  when trains were very poorly managed, and was responsible for the disastrous part privatisation of the Probation Service, which had to be undone at great cost.  Grayling also introduced the requirement for wrongly imprisoned people to be charged for 'board and lodging' out of their compensation payments.

Chris Grayling has been nominated for a Life Peerage in Rishi Sunak's dissolution honours.   Grayling has done great damage to the UK and should not be allowed such an honour and privilege.

If nothing is done, Grayling will be rewarded with lifelong political power and be paid tax free £300 per day he attends the House of Lords  for repeated failures.  Oppose the ennoblement of this man whose contribution to this country has been so disastrous.

Edit, 8th July 2024: I forgot to mention that as transport Secretary he contracted a ferry company for emergency ferries after Brexit, that did not actually have any ferries, which cost the country tens of millions of pounds.  I also forgot to ask that if anyone knows of a good reason Grayling should get a peerage, to let me know in the comments.
