make opensea acknowledge the environmental risks of NFTs

The Issue

an NFT is a unit of data that is stored on a blockchain. They are unique tokens that cannot be replicated. Common uses for NFTs include digital art and other forms of media. There are multiple problems with NFTs, such as rampant plagiarism/fraud and how you don't really own the media when you buy it. The main problem with NFTs are their environmental impacts. The average NFT has a carbon footprint the equivalent of a month of electricity usage of someone living in the EU. This is often due to many transactions with NFTs. Researchers have estimated that mining cryptocurrency uses more electricity as countries like Pakistan. If left unchecked, cryptomining in China could make China's climate goals pointless. All this boosts carbon emissions, which then contribute to climate change.

As OpenSea is arguably one of the largest marketplaces for NFTs, they should acknowledge the environmental impacts of NFTs and Cryptocurrency in general. if they do this, then it may push people to support more eco-friendly cryptocurrencies, such as SolarCoin, Cardano, Nano and Stellar.
