Open Source Kernel Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (Nfc) spes/spesn

The Issue

To the Management of Xiaomi,

We, the users and developers of free and open source software, are deeply concerned about Xiaomi's non-compliance with open source software licenses such as the GNU General Public License (GPL) for their devices, including the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (NFC) spes/spesn.

As you are aware, GPL requires that the source code be included and accessible to users. However, it has come to our attention that Xiaomi is not fully complying with these requirements, particularly with regards to the kernel source code for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (NFC) spes/spesn.

We strongly urge Xiaomi to immediately comply with GPL requirements and release the kernel source code for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (NFC) spes/spesn. This will allow users and developers of free and open source software to study, modify, and share the source code, as well as improve the security and stability of the device.

As a company committed to innovation and sustainability, we believe that Xiaomi should prioritize compliance with open source software licenses and support the open source community of developers and users.

We request a response from Xiaomi regarding the actions they will take to comply with open source software license requirements and release the kernel source code for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 (NFC) spes/spesn.

Thank you for your attention.

Sincerely,

Spes & Spesn user.
