I am a resident of Fort Johnson, Louisiana, where our community is facing an early onset of warm weather. With limited recreational activities in the surrounding area, we are left with few options for outdoor enjoyment. Our community pools managed by Corvias remain closed, leaving us without a vital resource for recreation and relief from the heat.

Louisiana is known for its hot and humid climate. According to U.S Climate Data, our average temperatures in April can reach up to 85 degrees Fahrenheit (U.S Climate Data). This early warmth leaves many residents seeking ways to cool off and enjoy their time outdoors.

The Fort Johnson Corvias community pools provide not only a means of cooling off but also serve as a hub for social interaction within our community. By opening these facilities it would be providing residents with much-needed relief from the heat and an opportunity for outdoor activity.
