Open an Apple Store in the Republic of Ireland

Open an Apple Store in the Republic of Ireland
The Issue
I am a proud and long standing supporter of Apple and its products, as are many people across the Republic of Ireland. It is deeply frustrating that such a loyal and engaged customer base still does not have access to an official Apple Store in this country.
Ireland is home to Apple’s European headquarters in Cork, where approximately 6,000 people are employed. The company has maintained a significant and highly visible presence here for decades. Yet despite this strong connection, the Republic of Ireland does not have a single official Apple Store. At the same time, Northern Ireland, with a smaller population, benefits from its own Apple retail location.
The suggestion that the Irish market is too small to justify investment simply does not reflect reality. Apple consistently ranks among the most popular and best selling technology brands in Ireland. Demand for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch products remains exceptionally strong year after year. Irish consumers clearly value Apple’s ecosystem, innovation and design.
The absence of an official retail store creates unnecessary barriers for customers. It limits access to Apple’s renowned in store support, including the Genius Bar, Today at Apple sessions and hands on product experiences. Customers are unable to properly explore devices before purchasing and may face delays or added inconvenience when seeking service and repairs.
Opening an Apple Store in the Republic of Ireland would recognise the loyalty and purchasing power of Irish customers. It would strengthen Apple’s relationship with its community here and enhance the overall customer experience. Given Ireland’s role in Apple’s European operations and the strength of the local market, such an investment would be both commercially sound and symbolically meaningful.
We are calling on Apple to acknowledge the commitment of Irish customers and establish an official Apple Store in the Republic of Ireland. Your signature can help demonstrate the demand and opportunity that exists here. Sign this petition to bring the Apple Store experience to Ireland and help close this long standing gap.
