Every SoCal native has heard of Porto’s Bakery & Cafe. It’s the place that sells the best pastries you’ll ever try, from sensational cheese rolls and guava strudels to decadent tres leches cake, which are always the most talked-about dessert at any party. However, if you’re a resident of the Inland Empire (like myself), then you know how much of a struggle it is to get your hands on Porto’s because of the distance. Currently, all six locations are in the greater LA area, and we in the IE don’t get to enjoy Porto’s pastries and coffee nearly as often as we’d like!

So, I urge you: sign this petition to convince the Porto family executives to open a location in the IE—specifically in the Rancho Cucamonga area. 

Why Rancho Cucamonga? For me the choice is a no-brainer:

1. Prime Location & Accessibility: Rancho sits at the crossroads of three major freeways—the SR 210, I-15, and I-10. This makes it super accessible from all parts of the IE. 
2. Ideal Retail Hub & Demographics: Nearby retail hubs like Victoria Gardens mall and Ontario Mills offer consistent foot traffic. This is necessary for a cafe/bakery to thrive. Additionally, Rancho has some of the IE’s most affluent and food-savvy populations, which would become a strong and loyal Porto’s customer base. 
3. Strategic for Future Expansion: Rancho is considered the “gateway” to deeper IE cities. It would be the perfect place to introduce Porto’s to a new region without straying too far from its current base.

Porto’s is sitting on a goldmine by opening a location in Rancho, with the potential to explode its popularity to even greater heights. The people of the IE are hungry for a Porto’s here, and the result would be a win-win for everyone!
