Sign The Petition For Police To Wear Body Cams In Ontario

During these times, it is important that we find ways to reduce police violence. If we can get police to wear body cams, then there is a chance that police will start acting more responsible and less innocent lives will be taken.

A study done in Rialto, CA (the first US city to try police body cams) found that there was a 59% decrease in the number of use of force incidents by police officers when body camera’s were worn. Read more:  Body Worn Camera Study

If there had been a body cam on the the officers when Regis Korchinski Paquet fell to her death, then her case might be solved by now. according to pivotlegal.org CBC reported that Ontario had over 150 fatal interactions with police from the years 2000-2017.
