I was shocked to learn the truth about the World Map I was shown and taught from in school. 

The World Map being used in schools portrays North America (Canada and the United States specifically) as a larger area of land than it really is. Elliott expresses that the World Map taught in schools portrays South America as much smaller than Canada, when in fact it is actually 9x larger than Canada. Elliott believes (as do I) that the reasoning behind disproportionate sizing and placement of predominantly white countries is a tactic to teach children early on that America is "bigger and better" and the higher power. 

We need to stop teaching false geographical information to children in Ontario schools because accurate sizing and scaling of countries is an important aspect in properly teaching children the history of our world, and the diversity between different cultures. I am hoping to get your help and signature to help support the process for the accurate and proportionate World Map to be taught in Ontario schools. For it to be taught in all schools across Canada is the goal but I am asking for your help to start here in Ontario.
