One team per constructor - no sister teams, no unfair collaboration.
The Issue
We believe that as the grid stands, there should be 20 drivers across 10 teams and 10 constructors. However, we believe that there are 20 cars across 9 teams and 9 constructors.
We believe that the parent company Red Bull have control over two teams. Those being Oracle Red Bull Racing, and whatever they choose to call their 'sister' team year after year.
We believe that this promotes an unfair advantage over the rest of the grid that cannot rely on issuing orders to the sister team to gain an advantage in favour of the parent team, such as Red Bull Racing have in the past.
We also believe that, as suggested at the start of this season, this year's RB car is essentially last year's Red Bull car, meaning the team has not had to pursue its own development. This means that all development time is gained at an advantage to the lesser team, and perhaps to the parent team through collection of data.
We believe that Red Bull have had an advantage over other teams and have capitalised over being allowed to have control over two teams.
We believe therefore that Red Bull have not complied to the sporting regulations where each constructor must be unique and have its own development and independence from another team. There should be 10 teams in F1, however Red Bull have control over two of them, meaning there are only 9 teams. Therefore, both teams should be stripped of all drivers and constructors points for as long as they have been in collaboration and all results should be adjusted fairly to accommodate all teams and drivers that have abided by the rules.
We believe that this will promote fairer racing and prevent an entity from gaining an advantage in F1 by controlling 2 out of the 10 teams on the grid. We also believe that this will make room for another team in F1 that could bring further excitement to the sport by eliminating one of the Red Bull Teams. It would also benefit Red Bull themselves as they would have to delve deeper into their talent pool and focus more on getting it right first time - there would be no second chances, just like it is for every other team on the grid.
We believe the regulations in Formula One should be changed to prevent one entity having control, or influence over two teams, and that all teams on the grid must be independent and unique in their own right, baring any engine / parts supply from another manufacturer which is required to build the car. However, that manufacturer must have no investment in the team other than parts supply.
