A concerned parent in the Olean School District. They are not following protocol with the New York State mask requirement/mandate. Two children was at bus stop and one child entered the bis walked to the back of bus passing the bus monitor without a mask on. He turned around walked back to bus monitor and she told him he had to mask up so they provided him one and also his younger brother. The bus monitor wore her mask below her nose and was not pushing the mask issue like it should of been. As parents stood there waiting for after school drop off from Eastview Elementary School a few children got off without a face mask on at all, multiple children wore their masks down off their noses. My son felt scared and unsafe of all these children that was not properly wearing their masks. The second drop off from Olean intermediate Middle School was also multiple students got of with their mask down under their chins. As they was dropping children off and the bus monitor is standing off the bus while children was exiting the bus to go to the school as you can see in the picture where one of the children have their mask down under their nose. The Olean School District should be aware of how unsafe their children are and how the school district is not pushing the mask requirement/mandate like they are suppose too. Olean School District parents should have a choice of remote learning for their children. This protects families that have family members that have health problems and is more likely easier to get Covid. Parents should have a voice and be heard
