After 6 faithful years at Old Town Hot Springs, inspiring hundreds of community members to live a more inspired and active lifestyle, Rebecca Williams was fired on September 5th, 2019 without cause and without explanation. 

This petition is our voice to tell the Old Town Hot Springs Board of Directors that we do NOT agree, nor do we support, the firing of Rebecca Williams and ask for an inquiry into the senior management's ability to create a culture that fosters innovation, creativity and safety while doing what is in the best interest of OTHS members and the Steamboat Springs community.

Rebecca may be most recognized for her passion and commitment to helping everyone achieve their best physically, but also mentally and emotionally - she really cares about the whole person. This comes through in everything she does whether it's providing a weekly "challenge" to her class to step out of their comfort zones to help another, providing general support and guidance to all members in their fitness journey or simply being a listening ear when she runs into members outside of the gym.

This dedication is most clearly articulated through the numerous emails and outreach she received immediately after members heard the news. Here are few of the kind words expressed by her faithful supporters:

Please sign this petition so that OTHS understands that it is NOT okay to fire one of the greatest assets at this amazing community institution. Without people like Rebecca, OTHS is just a building. She and other employees like her should be encouraged and supported to bring new ideas, enthusiasm and passion to their roles without the fear of being fired.
